Meet Jeanne Bernard

Who is Jeanne?

Jeanne is a chemical engineer. She had the opportunity to spend two years abroad, in the USA and in Spain. When she came back to France, working in chemistry was no longer her goal. Jeanne wanted to be an innovation project manager. After some experiences, she became an entrepreneur and launched her first company in Grenoble: Katsi.

Grenoble, July, Co-Work, 10:30p.m. – Jeanne speaks about her experience.

"At Katsi we solve problems with creativity and collaboration!"

Katsi is a creative thinking company. Jeanne helps people and companies to think differently and to turn problems into opportunities. To do so, she uses a personal mix of design thinking, design games, etc. Katsi proposes two interesting business models. On one hand, Jeanne offers a customized service, and designs a new solution adapted for her customers. On the other hand, you can subscribe to creativity and access to Katsi online collaborative tools and have special discount on creativity workshops. These two offers complete each other. They also enable companies and people to solve problems and improve their creativity skills.

“My work with Katsi is not my hobby!”

Being an entrepreneurial woman can sometimes be useful and difficult. Indeed, people already asked Jeanne what her “real” job was! They didn’t understand that Katsi could be a real job for a woman… but it is! As a woman, it is important not to listen to that kind of people, to find your place and show up how amazing your project is. But being a woman can also help to get contacts in a men’s world... Jeanne thinks there is still a lot to do for entrepreneurial women!

"In Grenoble, politics mix with innovation"

According to Jeanne, Grenoble is an attractive city to live and a great place for innovation. The city’s size and the “horizontal” hierarchy enable people to reach any actor easily. Thus ideas flow quickly around. But she underlines the high number of large and powerful institutions (universities, laboratories, city institutions) with strong visions, who politicize innovation. Furthermore relationships between these actors and smaller ones (as coworking space for example) should be enhanced.
